Scott Giacomucci holds a Master’s degree in Social Services, a license in clinical social work, and is certified as a Trauma Treatment Specialist, experiential therapist, and psychodrama practitioner. Scott was introduced to psychodrama over 10 years ago and immediately experienced its “catching force.” As a young professional he is committed to helping to carry the model to the next generation of psychodramatists.
Scott is the Director/Founder of the Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy in West Chester, PA while also holding the role of Director of Trauma Services at Mirmont Treatment Center. He provides ongoing experiential trauma therapy groups in both inpatient and outpatient; as well as an ongoing monthly psychodrama training group.
He has presented psychodrama at local, regional, national, and international events. He is an adjunct professor at Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work where he teaches a new psychodrama course. He has multiple publications about psychodrama and served as an editor on J.L. Moreno’s Autobiography of a Genius. Additionally, he just received his doctorate in Clinical Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania where his dissertation was focused on sociometry, psychodrama, and experiential trauma therapy.
