The ASGPP is an Approved Continuing Education Provider for the following professional organizations:
- The National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors
- The National Board of Certified Counselors
- The National Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists
This signifies that we have voluntarily opened our training programs to examination by an outside agency to ensure that we provide consistent, reliable, and quality learning experiences. By doing this we raise the standard of our work in a highly visible way. Each individual who participates in the program expands our possibilities as a collective. Benefits include:
- As a CEU Provider, all the training workshops, groups or courses you offer throughout the year are approved for Continuing Education Credits.
- Professionals certified by these organizations can obtain necessary re-credentialing credits in their discipline as well as psychodrama training hours for the same investment of time and money, a benefit for them and an expansion of your training program.
- Save time and costs. Enrollment in the ASGPP CEU Program eliminates the expensive and time-consuming process of applying for providership with these certifying groups as an individual trainer, or re-applying each time a workshop is offered.
- Heighten the visibility and relevance of psychodrama. When you advertise trainings to a greater range of professional groups, more people will recognize the diverse applications and richness of action methods and sociometry. Raising awareness of your work exposes new groups to the power and importance of psychodrama and spreads knowledge about the work and philosophy.
Requirements to become a CEU Provider:
- Be a TEP or PAT
- Be a current ASGPP member
- Have a current valid license or certificate in your discipline
- Conduct training-focused groups, workshops or courses
Submit the following to the ASGPP National Office:
- Descriptions of 2 training-focused workshops, groups or courses conducted in the past 2 years. The ASGPP is required to have on file descriptions of at least 2 workshops that represent a sample of the kind of training you provide.
- Resume
- Fees: $100/year for first provider number, $75 for each additional provider number (for all three the fee is $250)
